Friday Feature: Segenhoe Inn Aberdeen

When the PicBox parents are kid free, we try to make the most of it. Today We had lunch at a great local venue, Aberdeen's Segenhoe Inn.

Right on the New England Highway it is somewhere we have driven past time and time again, always saying we should stop there.

We are so glad we did, and we will be back!

The food was great, a burger and chicken on Turkish were gone pretty fast, served with smashed spuds on the side as a nice change to the standard chips.

As we were eating the manager Michelle came and had a chat, then offered to take us on a tour to check out the rest of the site.

From the sitting room at the front to what will be a games room at the back, they have some beautiful spaces that are available for hire for a range of events. Then we went outside to look at the grounds, which are stunning.

While Michelle was saying how great it looks when there has been some rain and it is nice and green, we could still appreciate the beauty in the layout.

There is a gazebo for wedding ceremonies, a number of spots for photos, and an on site marquee adjoining the function room that means they can cater for up to 100 guests.

If you are in the area and haven't already, I highly recommend stopping in for lunch, dinner, or even a coffee and look around the grounds.
